Weekend Get-away

A stress-free weekend at home? I wish. It was fun, though. I drove to Bloomsburg and back, which wasn't the original plan, and managed to miss an exit both ways. On the way up, I missed exit 95 to I-80. How is that possible, you wonder. First, a driver should realize what mile they are at, and thus what exit they are approaching, second, shouldn't I-80 have a big sign or something? There was no big sign. In fact, I saw no sign until the little exit 95 (arrow) sign, right at the exit, which I saw too late to make it to the exit, and I knew the exit was approaching due to the mile markers. Still missed it. That added 22 miles to the trip up. On the way back, I miss the same exit, going the other way. Except this time I had no exit number, and had really been looking for a sign. I must've blinked. Or the signs all said N-E extension, and not 476. We ended up at the Delaware water gap. In New Jersey. 30-something miles past the exit (number 277, for the curious). The water gap was gorgeous, though...

Clearly, I am an idiot when it come to finding exits. Unless they are huge blinking signs, marked with neon lights... I should not be allowed to drive during spring break.

To top off the weekend, I woke up at 7am to make it back to New York so I could go to the Botanical Gardens to do an Evironmental lab, and it was shut because of the snow. So I have to go Tuesday between my class that ends at 1:05 and work at 6.

I did make winter league t-shirts. And they are HOT. Too bad no one got them this weekend, due to the snow, etc.

So I knew I had no money in my checking account, but yesterday, I took out $20 from the ATM and the receipt said I have $2.41 in my account. Which is really $.41, because the bank raised the ATM fees to $2.00. I really have no money. Good thing my parents were able to put money into my account yesterday for food. Good thing I should start getting paid soon. I should try to find a babysitting job, but I've never really been a babysitter, and I don't really want to go through the process of finding a family who needs a sitter when I'm free, call them, meet them, etc.

Then I proceeded to spend that $20 on a trip to the Museum of Natural History to do a lab for Environmental, and then spend the rest on four loads of laundry, three of which didn't dry properly. My room turned into a clothes covered mess. It took so long for everything to dry. Laundry turned into a whole evening activity.

I'm going away next weekend. To Bloomsburg on Friday, lunch at home on Saturday, and out to Drexel Saturday night. That's a lot of traveling time for one weekend.
